CHRIS POIL

NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Chris Poil joined the Ignite team in September 2007. Chris has extensive experience in finance and corporate strategy, specifically in the leisure sector.

Chris started his career in London as Director of Mercury Asset Management before becoming Head of UK Equities at ING Baring Asset Management following the collapse of Barings.

During his city career he spent a period specializing in the leisure sector.

Chris works in the hedge fund industry and has been involved in a number of private equity companies. He has been involved in helping to build a market leader, instrumental in a significant turnaround and involved in several start up companies.

ALICE AVIS MBE

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Alice joined Ignite in October 2010 and comes with a wealth of experience in marketing and strategy to help strengthen the Ignite brands and assist with the development and execution of the Ignite national and international strategy.

AAlice was CEO and then Chair of The Sanctuary Spa Group during the period 2005 - 2009 where she revitalised the spa and the brand growing the business into the No2 brand in Boots.

Prior to The Sanctuary, Alice was Marketing and Ecommerce Director of Marks and Spencer.

Previous roles include Global Brand Director for Johnnie Walker, Diageo where she was responsible for creating the ‘Keep Walking’ campaign and reversing the decline in the brand globally.

KEVIN BACON

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kevin joined Ignite in January 2011. Kevin brings a great amount of operational experience both in the restaurant and retail sectors and has proven acumen in building brands, growing businesses and creating highly successful management teams both in the UK and Internationally.

His most recent position was Managing Director of Jamie Oliver International Restaurants and was a main Board Director at the Restaurant Group Plc for 8 years.

Working for the Jamie Oliver Group gave him the valuable international experience helping to expand Jamie’s highly successful Jamie’s Italian brand.

Kevin was also co-founder of the highly successful Frankie and Benny’s brand and since its conception and under his tenure as Managing Director saw the brand grow to over 150 restaurants within the UK and Europe.
